maxzide /dieretic problem !

Help! Im in Pickle of sorts !!

I take verapamil ccb daily and Maxzide daily - iv been getting bouts of Gout off and on being on these meds.
my Doctor has upped the dose on both meds ,but only makes it worse , when it happens.  I went online and confirmed
Indeed Maxzide and 99% of all dieretics have the nice side effect of Gout !  one site said its very rare to happen. but the more I talk to people who were on dieretics for a long period of time. the more that had it!  interesting !!!

Im now wondering if anyone knows of anything that can be done to stop this.. other than stopping the dieretics and
or cutt back on them (im going for that first )  and what can I take to counter act these problems !

Im Doctor only throws pills at me in test bottles.  I dont think he reads the side effects to cares anymore !
as im over 50yrs old.. a lost cause in most eyes of young Doctors ! (that iv met )

to add the problems - I have a nice melanoma on my 2nd toe left foot .. that im being treated for now .. as it showed
cancer.  im due to talk and test with a surgen very soon .. about removal of the melanoma or toe .. depending ..
im sure , she will not operate if my fricken foot is swollen up  or has Gout going on ..

as of today my foot is better ,as I keept it up and iced cooled all night. I can walk on them both with ease.. little pain!
and I havent taken my meds yet.. for b.p .. but will soon.. in a way smaller dose ..

any help would be Very Helpfull indeed.   as what to take to and do..

thank you all for viewing this and any replys back
booger the nose.     when it rains it pours !

Hi Booglet - you sure have a hard time. Need the meds to help only to have the meds hurt in one way or another. Don't give up, don't give in. Keep chugging along.

I've been looking into natural ways to reduce some fluid retention. I googled natural diuretics and there was a long list of options. That's fine if you want to live on dandelions, juniper, ginger, cranberries, celery, parsley, artichokes, asparagus, green tea, cabbage and B vitamins. Notice a pattern here? All fruits and veggies. Does that mean vegetarians never get bloated? LOL Who knows?

Wish someone would find the answers for you. Later.

WILL POST THIS TO ALL

IT WAS FOUND THAT MOST IF NOT ALL DIERETICS   CAN CAUSE - GOUT
THOUGH ITS POSTED ONLINE - THAT IT IS  A RARE SIDE EFFECT , AND HARDLY HAPPENS TODAY !

I CONFIRMED THIS WITH A M.D. DOCTOR X 2 IN PERSON.  IT HAPPENS !
BUT MOSTLY WITH LONG TERM USE - AND TAKING DAILY DOSE OVER 25MG

THE DRUG COMPANYS WONT WANT YOU KNOW THIS . NOR WILL SOME DOCTORS !

AGAIN  I ASK -  YOU TAKE THIS TO HELP LOWER BLOOD PRESSURE DOWN.
ITS TO HELP YOU ?
YET  IS REALLY WORTH TAKING - IF THE RISK FACTORS ARE SO HIGH ,WITH SIDE EFFECTS AND PROBLEMS FROM THE MEDICATIONS.

I JUST DONT KNOW !
