measuring blood pressure

Hello,
My name is Joanna. When you want to measure one's blood pressure exactly, there must be a correction forarm of the systolic an diastolic blood pressure. Why is that?

If you are refering to the fact that different size blood pressure cuffs are necessary if someone has an arm that is very large or small, you are correct. If the cuff is too small, an overestimate of the blood pressure will be obtained. That is why most doctor's offices have different sized cuffs available.

What is the meaning when the readings are like 107 over 77, should we be concerned with the top figure being lower than 120
