medications such as beta blockers

I am having alot of change with my health my doctor told me verbal that what I have is called P.O.T.S which I feel is just a name to be able to say they found something wrong with you. Then I got all my paper work from him to give to my boss at work and on that paper it has final diagnosis: Supraventricular tachyarrhythmia with hypercoagulability. I looked them both up they seem different to me. I was on several pilss after discharged from hospital now I am just on propranolol (beta blocker), ASA ,and Alprazolam. Doctor wants me to go out and bike or walk,tried that, did 5 blocks of walking then was sick for two days later. I feel terrible and was thinking it is the beta blocker making me feel this way. So does anyone have anything like this going on with them?

hiya your not alone i have svt and take flecanide, have had the ablation 4 months ago but now bk on meds cos my palps have returned.

i was on the same beta blocker as you at first it reduced my heart rate too low and all i could do was sleep, i ended up in hospital feeling lousy cos my pulse went down to 47 - 50 bpm.

have a chat to your doctor there are many other meds that will do the same thing, you just have to find the right one for you!
