I had a chest xr-ay perfomed in July 2012 for a tb screening for a job. I pass out with needles so I opted for a chest x-ray.
One of the findings said "heart is normal size and the aorta is mildly ectatic. I also had a carotid artery screening from LIFE LINE SCREENING in Jan 2011 that showed mild plaque buildup on one side and moderate buildup on the other side.
I do have HBP which is under control with Altace. I also am overweight at 204 and my age is 60. Should I be having an ultrasound or any other test.
You do not necessarily need any other studies unless your physician suggests them. You should definitely continue close followup for your blood pressure and cholesterol and work on weight loss. Prevention is very important at this point given your carotid artery disease.
