mitral valve and pfo

I'm 24 and otherwise healthy individual.  In 2006, diagnosed with having a prolapsed mitral valve and a small pfo (patent foramen ovale).  occasionally, there are times when i get some discomfort (not really pain, mainly an annoyance really) around the left side of my chest, a couple inches from my sternum (where i know the heart is located).  is this just my mitral valve acting up or should i be more concerned about it?

Hello ! Im 19 and i also have MVP and PFO. It is possible for it to be ur mitral valve proplapse because it can cause chest pain. not like excruciating pain but it can cause discomfort. i get the same feeling you do every now and then.
