mitral valve

I have had an echocardiagram it found the mitral valve has mild regurgitation, tricuspid has trace regurgitation, left atrium appears mildly dilated?

Mild, trace, slight leakage (regurg) is considered medically insignificant, and almost never progresses or cause symptoms.  Left atrium appears mildly dilated may have some significance but it is an estimate and there may be some size increase and decrease normally. If your doctor believes it may be a problem developing, there is ample time to treat without any serious consequences.

Thanks for the question, and I hope this helps.  Take care,

Ken
