Mrs Drew, I think you need to be referred to a cardiologist. These are classic warning signs of blocked arteries, and possibly an impending heart attack. This pain, if angina, is a warning signal from our bodies. Sometimes we do not listen.

Women must be assertive (aggressive) with the doctors, when it comes to heart disease/symptoms. Statistics show that ~70% of men who enter ERs have heart conditions versus ~45% of women, I have read. Doctors tend to live by statistics.

Some men and women leave the ER only to go home and have a heart attack. More women die of heart disease than many other conditions, such as breast cancer, combined.

Be wise,

Jack
