muscle deterioration disease in legs

I am a 35 year old male. my left leg is losing it's muscle fast. my left leg is a good 5 inches smaller then my right leg. my left leg hurts, burns all the time, weather i am standing, sitting, or lying down. the pain is from the knee down to my foot. the bone in my left leg is also showing deterioration. i can take my fingure and basically poke the bone and it leaves a big dent. should i be worried.

I was just wondering if you had seen a doctor yet and if they had diagnosed you with anything?

Its hard to really say for sure without more detailed information.Obviously you need to get along to the doctor ASAP.If your right handed? then it may well be normal to have that leg slightly thinner.(in fact everything will be slightly thinner on the least dominant side) that's normal. However the fact that your saying that it hurts and is showing deterioration is worrying. So pop along to your doctor and I'm sure he will do all the necessary testing.
