my husband is in hospital and will need adefibrilla fitted .He has been useing nicoretts for 6 years
chews all day is this dangerous ?

No not really. The defibrillator ( ICD) is under the skin and sealed hermetically, so it should not interfere with nicorette. He likely has a high risk finding in his cardiomyopathy and so he will need the ICD, and this intervention will most likely have a life saving intervention in the coming years. Nicotine per se will not cause him to develop VT or AF with fast ventricular rate on appropriate medical therapy.
