I suffer angina also I had a cath dont and it should no blockage in the large vessel but I have Cornary Mircovascular Heart Disease which effect the small blood vessel of the heart and that's why I get chest pain. I'm on Imdur which is a long acting nitro and I also take nirtoquick for acute chest pain. when the small vessel are affected it's nothing they can do surgery wise but treat it with meds. I hope that help some and good luck to your mom and your family.
