I'm sorry you are having to go through all this. Yes, the heat here is intolerable. We stay in the house all the time. But we have a donkey who is ill so we are out checking on him and giving him meds. I did think I heard Heidi in the attic but we checked and no Heidi. Thank you for your prayers and I will be praying for you as well.
The femoral arteries are located in your groin, one on each side. Then branch off into two behind your knees. It will either be a by-pass or a stenting, I don't know yet, but I got a stent in my Aorta (main heart valve) in 09" The recovery time is much better with stenting vs six to eight weeks with by-pass surgery.
I hope your escaping the horrible heat down there! I read where you keep hearing your kitty Heidi! Do you think she might be in the walls somehow? I have been praying for you & Heidi!
Hi aheart, I don't know if this would be pertinent to your situation but I read somewhere here on MH of doing stents through the wrist. I'm assuming occluded means they can't go through the femoral arteries? Wishing you the best!
Yes right & left, my cardiologist is on vacation so I won't know his course of action regarding TX until he returns. I am hoping for stents. Staying positive and walking alot!
Obviously an invasive procedure. Is it both left & right femoral arteries? Will it be angioplasty with permanent stents? This is certainly serious news but, I trust the prognosis is very good.
