need some answers please...

My husband has recently had an episode that caused him to get checked,  they first found a Bundled branch block which made them look further,  they stress tested him with no red flags but also did and ECHO in which they found he has an enlarged left ventricle and lowered output.  Currently his left ventricle is measuring 50% larger than usual and is functioning at around 30% of normal.  He is having a Angiogram tomorrow to check for arterial blockages but they are not expecting to find anything as he is 32,  fit,  not overweight,  doesnt smoke or drink and has normal B.P. and colesterol.
I am naturally very worried about what might be going on and am looking for any help at all.

The episode he had was a sudden onset of chest pain,  a sore left arm,  nausea and lightheaded feeling.  They checked him for a heart attack but the tests all came back negative.  He is worried that he may not be able to continue with his job as it is quite physical.  The doctors have mentioned that it may be related to a bad flu virus he had about 5 mths ago,  but hubby has admitted that he has had mild chestpains (and occasionally a sore left arm but not both at the same time) occasionally within the last 3 years.  he thinks probably about 7 times per year he may have had symptoms always for short periods of time.  Of course he didnt tell me as he didnt want to worry me }:0

what kind of episode did your husband experience?  I'm guessing he experienced an issue with his heart beat.

Obiviously something is making his heart enlarge.  It's a reversible situation in many cases, and it sounds like he is getting very good care.  There are lots of people on this board that have experienced what your husband is diagnosed with, but it would be helpful to know what the symptoms were that led to this diagnosis.  Keep us informed.
