need some input, i'm a little worried

Hi there,
My name is nicole, and i'm 38 yrs old. I had an echo done last year around this time and it indiated a borderline left ventricale hypertrophy. i guess just a slight thickening. i just recently had a physical and my cholesterol and blood work was great. My bp was 122/ 80 at the time. It usually is in the 130's over 80. my dr. didn't seem to be concerened about my echo results. I just wanted another opinion. Can i keep exercising on my elliptical machine? Can i still have drinks when i want(alcohol?) is this something i should be really worried about? I noticed when i get over anxious about this matter i start to have totake deep breaths now and then. A piece of mind would be great.
             thanks soooo much:)

I can't really help you without seeing the echocardiogram.  I would bet that your echo is normal because you don't have any risk factors for left ventricular hyperetrophy.  I am also assuming that nobody in your family has an "enlarged heart".  With that in mind, I have to, however, warn you, because there is a familial condition which is called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which can lead to ventricular wall thickening.  Pt's with this condition have an increased risk of sudden cardiac death especially with exercise.  The only way to tell whether or not you have this is for you to be seen by a cardiologist at a specialized center that deals with this condition on a regular basis.  Mayo or Cleveland Clinics for example.  Echocardiography is the modality of choice for diagnosing this condition.

THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT ON MY BORDERLINE VLH. I GUESS I SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED THAT THE REASON FOR MY ECHO LAST YEAR WAS BECAUSE AN EX-RAY HAD INDICATED A POSSIBLE ENLARGED HEART. THE ECHO IN RETURN RULED THAT OUT, AND ACTUALLY CAME BACK NORMAL. EXCEPT FOR JUST THE BORDERLINE LVH. MY DOCTOR TOLD ME TO CONTIUE WITH THE EXERCISE AND MY NORMAL EVERYDAY THINGS. I ACTUALLY CALLED THE HEART CENTER HERE IN SAINT CLOUD, I ASKED THEM TO BRING UP MY FILE OF AN ECHO DONE BACK IN 1987. I WOULD HAVE BEEN 16. ALTHOUGH THE PICTURES OR FILMS WERE ALOT OLDER, IT SEEMED TO INDICATE THE SAME THING AS MY RECENT ECHO. DO YOU THINK I COULD HAVE BEEN BORN WITH THIS CONDITION? IT DOESN'T SEEM TO HAVE CHANGED IN ALL THESES YEARS. WICH I WOULD THINK IS A VERY GOOD THING. DO YOU THINK I SHOULD TRY TO GET REFERED TO SEE A CARDIOLOGIST TO RULE OUT THE HYPERTROPHIC CARDIOMYOPATHY? ALSO, DO YOU THINK IT WOULD BE IN MY BEST INTEREST TO HAVE AN ECHO DONE EVERY YEAR? I'M PROBABLY MAKING  MORE OUT OF THIS THAN I HAVE TO BEING MY ECHO READ NORMAL. IT'S BEEN CAUSING ALOT OF ANXIETY ISSUES. THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR ADVICE:) NICOLE

I would see a cardiologist.  No reason to have yearly echos unless you develop symptoms of shortness of breath with exertion.

The governments pushing green technology I`ve read that Taser Guns effect the T waves in the heart.. The same componets are in wind turbines and solar panels.

Dr Henry Lai mentioned the effects of Tasers on the T wave..

Governments are pushing technology but ignore the health risks anyone who complaines
is ignore and told they are oversenstivie.

There are more children having strokes.

Any help here..
