need to understand

what does it mean to have a right and left enlarged atrium, also just diagnosed with htn, and a so-called innocent heart murmur all my life

Sometimes the atrium will enlarge due to gradient pressures associated with valve stenosis (narrowing of opening). Murmur is a sound heard by a stethoscope as blood passes through the heart valves.

I assume (htn) is hypertension, and that condition can be caused by occluded vessels associated with plague buildup, hardening of arteries, etc. or kidney problem, worst case scenario.
