new to PVCs

I was just diagnosed with PVC's.  I have not had tests yet except an EKG, which was normal.  I am scared.  I have had a history of low potassium and magnesium, which have caused arrhythmia twice in the past, but they were just done two days ago and were 4.4 (Potassium) and 1.9 (Magnesium), both within normal range.  I am home from the ER but with little knowledge of what I have.  I was just taking my pulse and noticed some skipped beats.  Now those skipped beats are occurring every minute or so.  I also have a little shortness of breath and am neurotic about taking my pulse every five minutes.  I am also on solatol for the arrhythmia.  Could that be causing the PVC's?  Will these things subside after a while or will the always be this frequent?  I know I am making it worse by being so scared but I can't seem to help it.  My heart doctor knows but I can't get in until mid-August, so I seem to be the only one concerned.  Can anyone explain these skipped beats to me?

PVCs are harmless.  Everyone has them sometimes.  Some people just have them more.  They don't really mean anything and won't hurt you, they're just really annoying.
