nuclear stress test results

by JB11, Nov 12, 2007 10:53AM
I JUST HAD A NUCLEAR STRESS TEST ON 11/7/07.  THE RESULTS WERE QUESTIONABLE.  WHEN EXERCISING I HAD SEVERAL AREAS THAT SHOWED REDUCED BLOOD FLOW.  I WAS SENT FOR A HEART CATHERIZATION THE NEXT DAY.  I HAD PREVIOUSLY HAD A GRAFT AND 2 STENTS DONE LAST YEAR.  ALL AREAS WERE JUST FINE THE SURGEON SAID.  ALL STENTS AND THE GRAFT OPEN AND FLOWING FINE.  HE SAID I DID NOT NEED FURTHER TREATMENT.  HOWEVER,  I AM CONCERNED ABOUT WHAT WAS SHOWN ON THE STRESS TEST.  WHAT COULD THAT BE FROM?  DO I NEED TO CONSIDER OTHER TREATMENTS AND WHAT WOULD THAT BE?  AT REST EVERYTHING LOOKED GREAT.  ONLY WHEN I STARTED INTENSE EXERCISE DID I HAVE THIS SHOWN UP ON THE STRESS TEST.  ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR ME?

NUCLEAR STRESS TEST are wrong many times, I have personally experienced, and have read. Do you have any symptoms at all when you exercise/exert yourself, or during the "intense" portion of the stress test? If the answer is no, then why would you doubt that the stress test was a flop?

Symptoms need to be.........

Hope you have none,

Jack
