numbness in arm

by RAW__0, Sep 11, 1998 12:00AM

I recently had my blood pressure checked and the numbers were 156/92. Since early June, I have been experiencing a numbness in my left arm. This began only in my forearm, but now is from my shoulder to my fingers. This occurs regardless of my current position or activity. It usually lasts about 2-3 minutes, and happens around 8 times a day. Dear RAW,
Thank you for your question.  While I am unable to make specific diagnosis in this forum I can comment that your symptoms do not fall into a "typical" category and is probably not serious.  However, I would recommend seeing a physician if these symptoms continue.  The type of doctor that would see a condition such as this is a neurologist.
Hope this helps.  Please feel free to write back with any additional questions.
