occular migranes and heart surgery

I had open heart to repair a valve 1 1/2 yrs ago and now are having what I think are occular migranes but the flashes and gray visual losses are not lasting 10-15 minutes but only 1-2 minutes. My 2 MRI's were neg, the neuro-opthal suggests possible blockages but the neurologist and cardiologist dont think so. I dont take any blood thinnners, otherwise healthy, take very small dose of Lopressor for arrythmias. Do you hear/see cases of these migranes after cardiac surgery? My vision was fine before surgery and these flashes started before I was discharged home post op. I think there is a connection! I am learning not to be afraid that I am going blind after reading all the posts, they have helped me alot! Is it occular migranes if the flashes dont "behave" in the typical fashion described? The general descriptions are right on to what has been happening to me!
