open heart surgery defibrillators and recovery

My partner has a faulty gene and had suffered a heart attack at the age of 34. After which he aquired anjina. He was prescribed statins and has been on a cocktail for over fifteen years.Over the last two years since I have known him he has always been extremely fit and active skiing and biking running.Lat x mas he suddenly drove himself to the hospital after feeling his heart racing and passing out. He is based in Norway and they sent him in for open heart surgery, released him afterten days and within three weeks he was back in same symptoms. He underwent angioplaty and they released him.again three weeks passed and he was back same symptoms heart racing sweating hard to breath. They inserted a defibrillator and released him again. he drove himself back barely breathing and was diagnosed with pnemonia (pneumonia). ten days of antibiotic drips and released after three weeks only two days ago he is back in 40 degree temperature barely breathing they have not been able to diagnose this. He has been on statins and I have been giving him his COQ10 B complex and Niacen non flush
magnesium Calcium Acsorbate which he has been taking for the last two months . I have realised that this always happens after he flys.He was getting clogs in hislegs after flying and was straight on a plane within two days of getting out of hospital or in the mountains skiing again. Can someone assist and advise me what the potemtial danger could be that the difibrillator is not helping or what they think it could be I am worried that he will not pull through this weekend.

Thank you for your time

My Dad has a defibrillator and what I know about it is this: the defibrillator is there to correct dangerous rhythms. But it will not fix blood clots, narrowed vessels or pneumonia. So if your partner's health problems are caused by these the defib. won't prevent them. It's strictly for the electrical part of the heart.
