osteogenesis imperfecta and pericardial effusion
I am 25 yrs old and am 7 months pregnant with my first child.  I also have type I Osteogenesis Imperfecata (a brittle bone disease).  I was ordered by my high risk ob to get an echo done of my heart sometime before delivery.  I did so and was told that I have a pericardial effusion.  I was just wondering if this may be caused by the OI and what the options would be to treat it. Is this something I would need to have taken care of before the birth?
