pacemaker for atrial fib

pacemaker for atrial fib

Posted By Jerry on April 26, 1999 at 21:44:30
My husband has had atrial fib for approx. 11 years.  For the first 8 years it was controlled with a combination of cardioversions & medication.  For the past 3 years he has been in chronic atrial fib all of the time.  He is on lanoxin, tenormin, coumadin & vaseretic.
He has very little energy or stamina - tires very easily.  He has considered a pacemaker and is wondering how often a pacemaker is used for atrial fib.
He is very interested in some information on the results and how patients feel after getting a pacemaker.
Your response will be greatly appreciated.
