This left sided pain is interesting. I got my pacemaker in September of 2007. Tried to go back to the gym in November and had the muscle pain and discomfort right away. I have tried a lot of things. Physical Therapy, ChiropracticChiropractor profession and just not using the arm. Right now I have stopped working out. I have a massage twiceTwice-a-day a month for an hour to keep things in check. The lack of exercise is depressing. The lack of concern by the Doc's that did the surgery is depressing. My Cardiologist told me that 20% of folks end up with this discomfort. So basically live with it. Fortunately my GP is more sympathetic and gives me Vicodin so I don't wreck my liver or kidneys. I take a couple of those a day, usually in the am with a hot bath. That helps a lot. Are you still having issues?? Deb ***@****
