pain in the opposite leg after cardiac cath

My husband is complaining of pain in the groin on the opposite side that his catheterization was done in. This opposite leg is also cooler than the afftected side. Does anyone have any experience that they can share?

It is unlikely that the pain is related to the catheterization.  Sometimes, however, if there were a small embolus (clot or a piece of paque) that was mobilized during the catheterization and went down the opposite leg, it could cause some pain.  I would let you physician know about this especially that the extremity feels colder.
