pains after surgery

I am a female 50 years of age, I just recently had a triple bypass surgery about two and a half months ago and after about a mounth or so I was really starting to feel better, But just a couple of weeks ago I have been getting some chest pains that move up my neck at times and a throbbing headache, A real bad throbbing headache, of course I have gone to my doctor, who seems to think its my blood pressure med. so has changed me to a different med. Has anyone else heard of this complication, and maybe know why? the blood pressure med is not helping, I had an e.k.g at the doctors and it came up normal, he seems to think that my graffs are fine. If I am doing nothing its not to bad but if I get up to get dressed or something easy like that I get a severe headache and chest pains.

I wonder if your pains are related to your sternum. I am Dr. Arch Miller and am on the reconstructive surgery forum. If you go to the web site rapidsternalclosure.com you will see a new method of sternal closure. If you determine that your problem is the sternum, then I recommend you contact a physician adept with this such as Dr. Scott Levin at Duke University. You will need to get a 3D CT scan of your sternum to see if that is the problem. Good Luck, respectfully,
