palpitation from taking augmentin

I am taking augmentin 875 mg for slight pnemonia (pneumonia) after gallbladder surgery. I am experiencing palpitation, my heartbeat increases for couple of seconds and then get to normal. This happens every 15 minutes to half an hour.
Is this a side effect of augmentin or something else.

I don't see palpitations listed as a side effect for Augmentin.

It may be Augmentin or it may be something else. I think you should mention this to your doctor.

I am taking Augmenting and i'm experiencing the same symptoms as you do. I googled and found your question. I guess it is related.... did your symptoms stopped after you quit taking the medicine?
