I found this while searching for an answer for you.

"Although there are many possible cardiac etiologies, palpitations can be associated with noncardiac causes such as fever, anemia, or drug use, and can occur in anxious but otherwise normal persons".

I haven't been able to find out why, though. Have you talked to your doctor about this?  135 bpm is too fast.  How high does your fever get?  Does it start with the sore throat and neck pains or do those things happen after you develope the fever?

uh last time i got my report my fever was at 101.7 C. if i read correctly...... my fevers always start with neck pain then sore throat..... no swollen lymph nodes or anything...... i had an ecg recently they said it was normal..... but before i had gotten one when i ended up in the hospital he said something about my valves not closing fast enough or something.... sometimes i jus get so tired and i end up wit palpitations or an abnormal beat.... i got an hiv test about 7-8 mnths after exposure came out negative..... cuz i thought that could have been the problem... but now i have red tonsils....i feel a tightness in my throat and fullness by my ears like when u blow on a balloon too hard... the pain moves along my ears to chest

Wow.  When was the last time you saw your doctor for this? You have been through a lot. When I was much younger I was diagnosed with a mitral valve prolapse and it was explained to me that the valve wasn't opening enough to allow all of the blood to flow through and it would back up at times and cause a clicking sound.  I know that when I get sick and run a fever (and I run them high.  Hospitalized twice with it over 104) my heart acts up and skips beats, but I have heart disease and figure that the illness is a strain on my heart.  Please see your doctor soon if you haven't.  Take care, Ally

Your heart rate will elevate when you have a fever as the heart works harder to cool the body.  Blood vessels dilate to bring more blood closer to the surface of the skin where cooling occurs.  The heart has to pump harder and faster for that to happen.  You are more likely to feel it's strong action, especially if you are lying around feeling sick.  You might notice your respirations will also increase.

I agree though that 135 sounds like a bit too much of an increase.  What is your normal resting rate?  Do the palpitations involve skipped or extra beats or just the fast bounding rate?  How often are you having these sore throats and fevers?  Strep infections are common in the throat and can damage the heart, especially the valves.  If you have been sick frequently, you may need to be checked for an underlying immune problem or an illness that is being suppressed but not completely knocked out.

Ally's advise to see your physician is excellent.  He will know what your answers to my questions in this post indicate.  Be well.
