beckyray36,

Peripartum cardiomyopathy is heart failure that occurs between the last month of pregnancy and 6 months postpartum. It is unclear why that it develops.

It sounds as if it has now been around 3-4 years since your diagnosis. The most critical period occurs after the initial diagnosis in the early post-partum period. If you survive this crucial period, your chances of long term survival are very good.
