patent ductus arteriosus
Age 22 / female

Diagnosed with Patent Ductus Arteriosus size 3mm diameter, 4mm length (cardiac MRI) in 2006. Echocardiogram in 2008 says 5mm diameter. QP:QS 2006 1:1.3 (cardiac MRI)2008 Echo: 1:1.74 highest, average 1:1.5

1.  What are typical sizes of PDA in young adults? What is considered big enough to close? Guidelines?

2. guidelines for QP:QS ratio.  what is considered insignificant/significant?

3. my exercise echo: systolic flattening of septum with exercise suggestive of pressure overload.  is this significant? of concern?
