pericarditis

I have recently been diagnosed with pericarditis. the cardiologist told me to take ibuprofen 3 three times a day and to reduce the amount I take slowly, I have tried to do that, but when i cut back to less than 2 three times a day the symptoms return. I began to have shoulder pain again, and i feel heaviness in my chest when i bend over to pick up things, for example at my job i drop things and i feel it then. Does that mean i am not over the pericarditis? Also it was determined that i got it from a virus of unknown origin, i dont really understand why they cannot find out what caused it. that concerns me.  i had a root canal prior to this happening, and givin a temporary filling, could this be a part of the cause? i still feel pressure sometimes in the tooth they did a root canal on.
