"pinch" sensation with PVCs

"pinch" sensation with PVCs

Hello.  I've been diagnosed with PVCs for a few years now.  30 yr old male, 5'8" 150lbs, relatively fit.  I've had the basic set of tests (echo, ekg, chest xray) and all were normal.  I've noticed that sometimes my PVCs are accompanied by a "pinching" feeling in the middle of my chest.  Nothing really painful, just irritating.  I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?  I also may have costochondritis from a weight lifting injury which has been bothering me for about 6 months now but slooowly getting better.  Not sure if the pinch sensation is because of the PVCs or the costo but I notice it when I have a PVC.  Not all of them, but at times.  I get about 3-7 PVCs a minute.. nonstop since June of 2006, but getting used to ignoring most of them except those "pinch" ones.. Anyone else feel those?

I personally havent felt any pinch feeling while having PVC's.  Mostly just a flutter/little breathless/ HIGH AXIETY feeling when i have them.  I would probably get it checked out via an event recorder.  If you tend to have them at least once a week, you wear the recorder and when you feel one push record.  it will record 15 sec before and 15 sec after you hit the button.  This will tell you if something strange is happening to your heart during those painful PVC's.  Typically your doctor can get you one for to hold on to for 1-3 weeks!

It sounds like more of a muscular issue or pinched nerve to me, but its better to be safe than sorry! :)

I do get the occasional zing from a PVC. Some of mine aren't felt at all, some are a thump like a frog jumped inside my chest, some come with a surge up into my throat and a head rush and some give a short zing of pain. But it's all so brief that I may be startled for a moment but then I go on. My doctor's not worried and I'm still around so I won't worry either.

Yes.  It's unpleasant, and I don't recommend it.  lol

My doctor said in med school he got PVCs with pinches.  He was convinced he was a goner, until he realized how common they are.  All these years later and he's still a-ok.

All:
I've had those miserable PVC's for about 3 years now... came out of no-where, often go away for a while, but can come back with a vengence. Ususlly just that "skipped beat" sensation. However, for the past month or so I too, have been getting a little "pinch" sensation. Ususally only when exerting (running, treadmill, hill-climbing). The doctor insists all is well with my heart. So much so he is reluctant to schedule a echocardiogram for my next visit. He says the one I had 2 years ago is fine so another one so soon isn't needed. I am going to really press the issue. I need the piece of mind that all is OK. I have heard that these PVC's can go away as mysteriously as they arrive. I sure hope that's true... They are a very miserable thing to have to live with. BTW, I am an athlete and in excellent over-all health. I do have problems with my sternum from heavy weight lifting and lots of crunches and chin-ups. Perhaps all of these things are just ganging up on me...?
