please help me im so worried , can i have a heart attack?

Hi. My names Laura. Im 20 yrs old. I weigh around 270lbs and im 5'6.  ok. for the past couple months i've been having chest pain. Its weird its on the left side but its only when i twist or move my body a certain way. Sometimes it occurs when i take a deep beathe. I barely drink, and i dont smoke. I was having heart palplations and sometimes I had fluttering of the heart out of no where, but i gave up caffine and after a few weeks it stopped. I do kinda eat bad. But I've been on a diet trying to get my weight under control. I have no health insurance so i dont know if i should just go to the emergency room or what. but its making me worry and i dont know what to do. Could my chest pain just be realted to a pulled muscle?

It's not heart related. Heart related pain does not get worse by your position and it does not get worse when you take a deep breath. I'm going to say this is musculoskeletal problems. Best of luck

I agree, it should be checked out as all chest pain should, however, chest pain due to heart conditions is not positional, meaning that it does not come on by moving or by going into a certain position or by breathing deeply. Could also be a little anxiety.

Good Luck,

Jon

thanks. i'm not having any other symptoms execept i was getting dizzy spells but that stopped when i started dieting i rearly get those. so its weird and actually when i take like motrin or tylon it helps the pain. I also get it when i lay a certain way on my stomach i will wake up and feel the pain. but i do recall do or trying to do sit ups like 6 months ago, so maybe I messed something up. Everytime i check my blood pressure its normal or kinda like around 119/60.   so i think i should just let it go eat better and start working out more. thanks alot.. keep in touch.

it sounds like  pulled muscle or something other than heart. but always have chest pains checked out never play with that . but you are very young and if your not haveing other probles like sob, sweating, sick stomack, than it could be something you doid to your left side of chest.

i would not lose sleep over it but would have it checked out if it keeps up. have you tried taking a pain med to see if it goes away?

and if your really worried than yes go er have it checked give you peace of mind, but it will cost a lot to . so do what your body is telling you . keep in touch
