NORMAL LEFT VENTRICLE DIMENSION W/ THICKENED WALLS
WITH ADEQUATE WALL MOTION AND CONTRACTILITY
DILATED LEFT ATRIUM W/O THROMBUS
THICKENED AND CALCIFIED RIGHT CORONARY CUSP AND NON CORONARY CUSP
OF THE AORTIC VALVE LEAFLET W/O RESTRICTION OF MOTION
NORMAL LEFT ATRIUM RIGHT VENTRICLE, MAIN PULMONARY ARTERY AND AORTIC ROOT DIMENSION
STRUCTURALLY NORMAL VALVE TRICUSPID VALVE AND PULMONIC VALVE
here is the conclusion:
CONCENTRIC LEFT VENTRICULAR HYPERTROPHY W GOOD SYSTOLIC
FUNCTION BUT W DOPPLER EVIDENCE OF IMPAIRED DIASTOLIC RELAXATION
DILATED LEFT ATRIUM
AORTIC REGURGITATION +4
NORMAL PULMONARY ARTERY PRESSURE W/ PULMONIC REGURGITAION
From the report there is evidence of aortic regurgitation. Surgical therapy for aortic regurgitation is based on the clinical symptoms, left ventricular hypertrophy and Ejection fraction. The ejection fraction is a useful measure of left ventricular performance. The normal range is 63-77% for males and 55-75% for females. It reflects the pumping capacity of the heart. Your ejection fraction is good. Left ventricular hypertrophy is present. Next we should check to rule out if there is decreasing exercise tolerance on exercise stress testing. Based on the collective data therapy can be planned.
