pressure

pressure

last monthe on several different occasions i felt pressure in the sternum like someone was pushing down and after a minute release the pressure, this had been going on for 5 minutes. plus once in a while i get a double overlaping beat or an infarction, i know these hapen on a regular basis, but the pressure is something new. I don't have the pressure anymore. I was thinking i should had gone to my husbands cardiologistm but didn't due to no insurance and no job.  My husband is 67 and on on social security, i am 47 and a normal healthy female that is going through menopause.

You could have had a heart event that damaged heart cells. If you did have an episode, timely treatment can minimize any damage.  The fact you are no longer experiencing chest pain or related symptoms for a heart event does not indicate there hasn't been any damage.

You should see a doctor to rule out any heart attack, etc.  I thought the wife of a SS recipient qualifies for health coverage.  If you have any further qestions feel free to post a followup.  Take care.
