i know this is extremely rare in children...but i also know that although it is rare it still occurs in children...(and that is through personal experience)...has anybody..or is anybody going through or has gone through pulmonary hypertension with ther child?
Understand your predicament.
Idiopathic pulmonary artery hypertension (IPAH) in children is defined as a mean pulmonary artery pressure greater than 25 mm Hg at rest with normal pulmonary capillary wedge pressure, in the absence of associated causes of pulmonary hypertension. Treatment is focused on aggressive measures to prevent infections, medications to improve circulation and palliative surgical corrections.
