cookie,

is can pvcs increase during pre menapause?

this is a common question here. there is no specific definite answer, but the number of times this question is asked leads me to believe that menopause and hormonal fluctuations can influece the rate of pvcs.  Intuitively it seems to make sense too.

The simple to your answer is yes in some, no in others.  I wish I could draw some definites, but as you can see in the archive, there are alot of others in your boat.  Perhaps you can use some of their comments as a support group to know you are not alone and for tips in dealing with the symptoms.

also what are the symptoms of a fib?

In some people afib is completely asymptomptic. It can only be diagnosed with holter monitoring or by ecg if you are in the rhythm.  Other people can have fatigue, chest pain or palpitations, or congestive heart failure.

good luck

Does anyone know why sometimes when you get a pvc it doesn't feel really bad.  Just a little harder beat.  THEN  sometimes when you get them they just knock the wind out of you.  If they both are PVC's then why do they feel so different?  Or am I the only one that experiences different intensities of these.  Some really make me cough, some make me feel weak for a moment and some don't bother me at all.
I look forward to any feedback

Dear jkf, mine is like yours too. Sometimes symptomatic like giddiness, extreme tiredness but somtimes asymptomatic. I still worry about it even it is asymptomatic. I have been diagnosed quite recently with PVCs and NSVT, that's why I am still panicky about it and not able to convince myself it being benign. I need help too.

Hi,thanks for your comment.  Do you ever feel it in your upper stomach (like where the vegas nerve is?)when they are really bad.  It seems as if someone is punching the air out of me for a minute.  I get a moment of weakness following this.  Other times I just feel a harder thump in my chest area.  Those don't seem to make me feel bad.

Hi cookie
I get eratic beats along with a very fast beat that scares me to death.  My doctor doesn't seem concerned. This just starts up after a skip and long pause and stops just as suddenly. Example: early beat, really long pause (longer than normal), then fast and irregular for a minute or so.  Very scary.
good luck!
