I've had 3 ablations and know that the heart can be irritable for quite awhile after the ablation procedure. You may experience occasional ectopics or brief tachy times but they will taper off as the heart heals. How long does that take? It depends on the person and how much was done during the procedure. Don't get discouraged. Remember, they were poking and zapping in there. It's no surprise the heart's a bit fractious.
The above poster is correct, you probably have irritated atrial tissue, which will most likely scar down in the future. However you should be concerned if you have worsening symptoms, lightheadedness or dizziness and passing out as this may mean you have a more serious condition.
i am curious about you since i have been considering EP study for a questionable SVT.....what kind of SVT were you having?
