This recovery time following a pulmonary vein ablation for atrial fibrillation is usually very short and often times only requires an overnight stay with discharge the following morning. However, this can obviously vary depending on a number of factors including (but not limited to) the type of anesthesia that is used, complications, and other medical co-morbidities.
