reversible ischemia

reversible ischemia

I got results from myo stress spect multi for chest pain and shortness of breath which say: Imaging demonstrates a perfusion defect involving the left ventricular apex which resolves on the resting phase of the examination. The finding is best replicated on the horizontal long axis images. No other perfusion degects were demonstrated. The gated images demonstrate hypokinesis within the apex which correlates with the perfusion defect. The ejection fraction is normal with a value of 65%. the transient ischemic dilaitation ratio was 0.98. IMPRESSION: the findings suggest reversible ischemia within the left ventricular apex.
I am waiting for an appointment with a cardiologist who my primary dr thinks will want a catheterization. I would like to know how I could get an appointment with the Cleveland Clinic and would that be your way of helping me?

To get an appointment, can call 1 800 444 2000 and ask for the appointment line
They even can do same day appointments.
In general if your cardiologist feels that you cannot be treated adequately with medication and that your symptoms are consistent with angina, based on the stress test, he may recommend a cardiac catheterization to determine if you have coronary artery disease.
