right ventricular volume overload

right ventricular volume overload

Hi, I am a 23 year old female. As far as I knew I was healthy, but I had a couple of passing out spells. I ended up have some test which included a echo of my heart. I had some mild regurgatation in some of my ventricals, but the doctor that read said I have right ventricular volume overload. I have asked my family doctor and an ER doctor and they don't really know what that means. Is this something that I need to worry about? Thank you.

Right ventricular volume overload can be hole between the right and left ventricle increasing the blood volume with each heartbeat.  Or the right ventricle is not pumping out to the lungs received blood from the system vessels sufficiently enough to avoid volume overload. Or severe pulmonary regurgitation (backflow of blood into the right ventricle), etc.  Worst case scenarios, but obviously your treating doctors would/should be aware.  If your doctors aren't concerned, then you should be OK.
