Hello I am a 38 year old female with heart problems. Last year I was midiagnosed with bronchitis. Instead I had a viral infection invade my whole heart. I have had all four valves replaced. As a result I suffer from cardiomyopathy. I am frequently hospitalized with heart failure. I am slso five months pregnant and chose not to terminate the pregnancy. I have been hospitalized since last week with heart failure. My heart rate has been up and down between 150 to 190. I also have a low grade fever. The nurses are in here every fifteen minutes it seems to listen to my heart. I also have more electrodes on my chest to monitor my heart than usual plus the fetal monitor. I feel like a science experiment. what is the reason for them listening to my heart so much and all the monitors. I have been hospitalized before but they never watched me that closely. I feel I will be placed on a transplant list soon. They want to put a pacemaker in me. My heart rate is so high why aren't they hurrying up? Let me know what you think is happening. Don't be scared about your transplant! Just think of how much better you will feel. I have a feeling I am on the same path you are on. I have read about transplants and they have come along way. depending upon a person you can live a long full life with a transplant. You already have been through alot a transplant will be nothing to you. If they tell me I need a transplant I think I would be relieved because I am so tired of being and feeling sick!! If you need to talk send me a post. I cannot guarantee I can answer every day because they only let me use my laptop for so long because it interferes with my monitor. Don't be scared look forward to your transplant!! jj7
