short of breath

short of breath

im a 22 year old male and i keep feel short of breath not severley but feeling the need to take deep breaths and feeling sick and a weird feeling in my stomach and chest. im also feeling unsteady and getting occasional head rushes that feel like i drop of blood flow in my head for about 2 seconds. im also getting occasional flickering and pauses in my heartbeat that takes my breath away which is uncontrolable. over the past year i have had tests done such as 24 hour heart monitor, echocardiagram, chest x ray, ecg's, blood tests, which have all came back normal other than low white blood cells  .i have been to the doctors and they say it's anxiety but i haven't been worrying. i seem to be feeling worse everyday.i feel like i cant keep going to doctors because they just think it's anxiety. i dont feel like im worrying that much. i think i might have a sudden cardiac arrest

I have no idea what your problem is, but I can tell you that people who die from sudden cardiac arrest do not have any symptom at all.

Can I just ask, when you had all the tests, and wore the holter monitor, did you feel your symptoms at all in that time?

no. i had a few paused heartbeats that shown up on the 24 hour monitor but i feel worse now then i did when i had the those tests done a year ago.i had e ecg done about six weeks ago but they are only about 10 seconds long. i seen the cardiologist about  5 weeks ago and told him how i feel and he said it's unlikley to be heart related because the structure of my heart is normal. but everyday im feeling these symptoms and they seem to be getting a little stronger everday. the doctor wont give me anymore tests because the tests i had done a year ago came back normal. they seem to think it's anxiety relared but i dont feel that anxious

Well, anyone can tell you that a normally structured heart can still develop issues. That's a bit of a silly statement. A famous actor here in the UK wanted to go and live in Spain but decided to have a full medical first. He saw a Doctor and a Cardiologist who both gave him a full bill of health. He died two weeks later of a heart attack. This spread through the media and mistrust in cardiologists boomed at that time for a considerable time. Everyone was quoting this to their cardiologists. In reality there is no way that any cardiologist can say nothing will happen to your heart. I would keep pressuring your Doctor to establish what your problem is and address it. It's obviously affecting your life and worrying you, so they can't just leave it. It may not be heart related at all, but that doesn't mean they should give up and to be honest, I think the term "it's just anxiety" is used a bit too much these days. Tell them when it happens, it isn't in times of anxiety, so how can anxiety be the cause. Make sure you get a satisfactory answer. If your Doctor can't help, ask them to refer you to someone who can, that usually gets them moving. They can't go by results a year old either, not if symptoms are worsening.

Why not let the doctor treat you for anxiety and then see how you feel.
