I got (and still have) right shoulder pain coincidently soon after a heart attack which happened mid June.  However, I was comforted to find out (with an ultrasound) that it is just a physical tear.  I'm doing some exercise (following physiotherapy) but may need cortisone soon.  On the other hand, strong pain BETWEEN the shoulder blades which occurs simultaneously with chest pain is indicative of a heart problem or aortic dissection I understand and needs emergency treatment.
