sicki sinus syndrome

I am 38 yr old woman with sick sinus syndrome. I have a pacemaker and have had ablation but can not get the tachy brady under control. It is constant now all day everyday. My doctor said he has never seen it this bad. Feel like I have run out of options. What is the risk of heart failure or stroke if cant get it under control? When I ask my doctor he skirts around the question. I really need a straight answer. thank you

Thank you for your reply. Where would you recommmend? I live in Texas and already have the best EP specialist in my area. I would be willing to travel out of state if you think this is risky staying this way.Thank you!

I am sorry that you are experiencing so much trouble.  Usually a combination of medications and a pacemaker are sufficient to treat severe cases of tachy-brady syndrome.  If you feel that you are still having troubles, I recommend that you seek a second opinion and perhaps be evaluated at a speciality center (large referral hospital).
