skin drawing

cdd
In 2001 I had  4 way by-pass surgery. Since then my chest has always had a drawing or pulling of the skin where I was sew up. There is no pain in my chest, but it feels like the skin gets tight, like they sew me up to tight. It comes and goes and Ive been put in the hosital and and had the scope run up my leg and an echocaridigram and a nuclesr stress test and everytime I am found to have nothing block and everything looks good. Im just wondering what this tightineess of the skin could be .Im a 58 years old and in good health. My cholestral was 149 , my bad was 71and my good is 45. I do take Simavistion.

Not sure if you got this before, but you may have a neuropathy. Ask your doctor if you can try a low dose tricyclic antidepressant like Elavil. I had horrible burning in my legs for no apparent reason , had numerous tests etc.and nothing was found. After one week on Elavil the pain went and never came back. Phantom pain responds well to these drugs, but you may get ED.(If you are a man).

Simvastin can cause muscle pain and/or weakness.  Is it possible that what you're feeling is a side effect from the medication?

Maybe you could try some cold compresses, a soothing lotion or aloe vera to try and soften the skin over the scar.  A visit with a dermatololgist might be the best option.
