In 2011 i developed splinter haemorring on three fingers on my left hand , subsequently i have an aortic valve replacement in July 2012 ,now in november i have developed lesions under the nail and on the side of my middle finger , the finger is inflamed and very sensitive to touch .It has been painfull for about a month and will take another month or more to clear
If you are on warfarin, check your INR. It is usually recommended to have an INR of 2.0 to 3.0 for basic "blood-thinning" needs. A higher INR can cause hemorrhages. The hemorrhages can sometimes get infected and form an abscess. This is more so if you have developed a fever. Please check with your doctor for an evaluation.
