skipped beats

by moon86, Aug 24, 2008 06:57AM
hi im 21 years of age, male and had been diagnose with atrial fibrillation due to alcoholism.. the doctor said it was holiday heart syndrome. I had my echocardiogram and the doctor said my heart was ok. There was no abnormalities. I have undergone stress test and the result was good. No arrythmias and others. I have this problem that I am always conscious to my heart and afraid of reoccurence in AF. I also have these skipped beats but not that often. When I play basketball and do sudden movements, i felt a skipped beats. But when my heart is already beating fast, it disappears. My main concern is, will there be any reoccurence in AF? Is skipped beats dangerous? My AF just returned to sinus rythm in less than 24 hrs. No Anti arrythmic drugs taken and no mentainance.

Please answer my concerns.. Any Cardiologist.
Thanks
