Foot pain problem & has seen roughly 8 specialists, including orthopaedists, neurosurgeons & internists. She has had several bone scans, MRIs on the leg, been tested for
goutAcute gouty arthritis
Gout - chronic
Pseudogout
Tophi gout in hand & arthritis, etc. She was told by one that she had a hairline fracture, by another she did not. She has been advised to say off the foot as much as possible & to stay on the foot as much as possible. She has been told to wear the special boot & not to wear it. She has tried all approaches & nothing has helped. She uses a warm foot soak nightly & sleeps with her foot elevated. She has had cortizone & has had her medications adjusted different ways. (I think all she takes is half a light sleeping pill & cholesterol medicine -- which she ceased for a while & it did no good). She has been told her circulation is good.
Now they all say they are stumped & have never seen anything like this. Please help!
