Dear sd
Scar tissue inside a stent, called restenosis, is difficult to treat. One way to treat it is with another balloon or stent. There is a good chance that restenosis will occur again. Other options for treating in-stent restenosis are lasers, drills, or radiation (still experimental). These more advanced procedures are best done at specialized centers.
I hope this has been useful. I wish you the best of luck. Feel free to write back.
