sternum not healing can anyone HELP??

I had a 5way bypass on May 15th 2008 and I've had to rest/sleep in a recliner ever since I can not lay on my side or stomach, when i try and I fall asleep for 45 to 90minutes i awake in agony my chest feels like a flex straw thats been compressed and needs to be stretched back out. I rapidly rub the surface of the area of the incision while expanding my chest and throwing back my shoulders. A simular "feeling" accurs when i sit at my desk as i am now again when i get up it feels as though my chest has been compressed from top to bottom and it needs to be stretched  .My body rejected the internal stiches at three weeks post opp and expelled them by forming pussules that would open like a pimple not all of the stiches escaped before the skin toughen up and i now have lumps under the scar tissue that itches almost constantly The sternum is very tender to the touch, and at 5 months since the surgery, it feels as if someone hit me in the chest with a baseball batwhen i sneeze ANYONE have any suggestions...HELP
