stress test

After a recent stress test, the result showed a probable inferior infarction.  I am a 58 year old female, 148 lbs., on meds for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and insulin resistance.  What would be the normal follow up procedures or tests?

An echocardiogram should be obrained to look for evidnece of infarction.  If truely present, consideration should be given for left heart catheterizaton to evaluate the coronary arteries.  Starting ASA, beta blocker and statin to treate coronary artery disease would also be prudent.  Sometimes, these inferior infarcts are false positive, meaning that they are not really there.  The echo will solve that issue.
